The Community Care Connections’ Stay for a Day service provides life-skills training for adults who have Autism, intellectual, sensory and/or physical disabilities.
The service is designed around the specific needs of each participant and has included teaching meal preparation, money management, personal safety, computer usage, fitness, volunteerism, social skills for individual and group situations and developing personal leisure time skills. Skills learned through the offered activities can be practiced at home and in the community. Stay for a Day is conducted at Community Care Connections’ main office building located at 114 Skyline Drive in Butler. This service is staffed by trained and experienced employees. The service also offers assistance with personal care and wheelchair accessible transportation to and from service activities, if needed.
Stay for a Day is funded by grants from the Butler County Human Services Department and by private donations.
