In Pennsylvania, the Supported Employment (SE) are Medicaid-funded and state-supported services that assist individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and other disabilities in preparing for, obtaining, and maintaining competitive integrated employment. Services are delivered through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR), Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) and authorized under Pennsylvania’s HCBS Waivers, including the Consolidated, Person/Family Directed Support (P/FDS), and Community Living Waivers. These services include individualized services to help people find and maintain competitive employment in integrated community settings.
The certified Supported Employment Specialists at Community Care Connections are out in our community every day, promoting the Employment First initiative and providing support to individuals with disabilities to determine job readiness, develop job related skills, access and apply to open positions of interest and provide on the job supports to help the individual to attain independence in a competitive work environment. We have successfully helped people find success in jobs all over the Butler area and beyond.
