In Pennsylvania, the Benefits Counseling Service is a service provided through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) and Office of Developmental Programs (ODP), Consolidated, Community Living, and P/FDS waivers. This service involves an individualized assessment of the individual’s situation to determine which work incentives are available to them. It helps individuals understand how their earnings may impact their Social Security benefits and provides information to ensure the best way of maintaining those benefits while working and earning an income. The service is designed to empower individuals to make informed decisions about work and how to achieve their financial and employment goals.
The certified benefits counselors at Community Care Connections work tirelessly to provide ongoing education and support to individuals receiving social security benefits about how employment and other life decisions can impact their benefits.
